Matching hair!

The other day I attended 55factory Issue 2 party at the shop Rokit. I met up with the amazing and beauty Laura who helped me actually get to the place as I am rubbish with directions! Once we got in we headed straight for the Rekorderlig Cider which is actually my favourite! We were surrounded by such beautiful vintage clothes from Rokit that I felt like a child in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Also AOFM were on hand to for makeovers which unfortunatly I didn't get done as I had already put on make up for the evening - silly me!

So after Laura had brought there beautiful earrings which we named but can only remember Yvonne Pandemonia had arrived and I was running around like paparazzi to get a decent photograph of her. She was stunning that night and I fell in love with her dog and handbag! I didn't get a chance to grab a signed copy of the magazine from her although I did get a signed copy from Chris who apparently appears naked in the magazine!

After an amazing night meeting such lovely bloggers who I hope to stay in contact with we decided to call it a night and I headed home on the train which was long and hot! I want to say a massive thank you to Lois from Carrottop PR for inviting me!

New CID Primer

After running out of my usual Witch primer I decided that I wanted to experiment with our brands. I saw a lot of good review about the New CID Cosmetics 'i-prime' so decided to give it a try!

Starting with the packaging it is beautiful, sleek and compact. The bottom has a twist mechanism which allows you to apply the primer - I really like this about this product! The liquid itself is very silk like and a lot less silicon like compared to other primers that I have tried in the past. I'de say it is slightly scented but unless somebody came up to your face and smelt you then it was barely noticeable!

I've noticed this product does last a good amount of time on my face. What I love about it is that it is also moisturising and light to put on in the morning underneath my make up! I also like that it doesn't take very long to set into your skin compared to other primers I have heard about that takes around 5 minutes to set.

You can buy this product for £27.00 from HairTrade here. This is where I received mine from as well! This product is definatly a keeper for me!

Pastel Power

I'm sure by now everybody knows that Neons and Pastel colours are in trend. As much as I love neon colours I don't think I'm brave enough to wear them so I've spied up some pastel coloured products that I will probably end up buying!

What are your favourites?

Batiste Lace Lauch Party

(Photographs from Batiste Blog)

Last week I was invited to Batiste's Lace Launch Party where I was able to invite a friend and I to get our nails, hair and make up done as well as having our photographs taken. While drinking champagne and eating their amazing cakes it was such a lovely night! My friend who I invited also won semi permanent lashes worth £135 - lucky her! Below are some shots of me and my two friends Ashlee and Nicole!#

After socialising, drinking champagne and getting pampered we decided to head home in the rain while receiving a goodie bag. We each got Batiste's new Lace dry shampoo, some beautiful Beauty UK product which I will be reviewing in the week, Misguided tights and other small goodies.

The new Batiste Lace Dry Shampoo is one of my favourites to add to the list. It sprays clear so no white marks are left in your hair! It also have a lovely scent to it which isn't too over powering. Batiste have definatly created another winner with this can! Thank you so much to Batiste for inviting me to the this event!

Liz Earle Sheer Pink Lip Shimmer

I had noticed on the Liz Earle website that they do  a Sheer Pink Lip Shimmer and was dying to try it out! Recently I have become more into lip glosses etc but I always go for a very natural nude colour so this Lip Shimmer seemed perfect for me! It give a 'barely there' look which is extremely conditioning. It isn't as shiny and sparkly as the photograph above although it does add a very subtly pink tone to my lips which I love. The only thing I really dislike about it is the smell, I can't put my finger on what it smells like but I usually prefer fruity smells.

When first putting it on I noticed it went quite watery like very quickly, this isn't what I was expecting although it was lovely to put on. I think it was the rosehip oils in the lipbalm making your lips conditioned and soft. If I'm honest I prefer this from Vaseline as it isn't as sticky and gooey as Vaseline yet it's as moisturising if more than Vaseline. For £5 I think I wouldn't wear this all the time as it's a bit more than I would spend on just a everyday balm.  I really love this product, even though I can't stop rubbing my lips together because of how soft they feel!

Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remoived

When hearing about Bourjois' new nail varnish remover I was dying to try it and put it to the test! This is a product I have never heard of before so i really wanted to see if it did what it claimed. As I love nail varnishes taking them off is the part I hate, this nail varnish remover has no spill (which is good because I'm a clumsy person) no mess and no cotton pads! It literally is magic in a pot.

It retails at £4.99 which I personally think is good because you can easily pay that price for a remover and cotton pads. What I love about this product is the smell, it has a red fruit and vanilla fragrance to it leaving your nails feeling and smelling beautiful. The only disadvantage to this product was that I found it more difficult to remove glitter nail varnishes. I wouldn't say it literally takes one second but if you look in my video below you can see how easy it is to actually take off!

I love this product and will definatly be repurchasing this again. It's so quick to do and the fragrance is beautiful which is probably what won me over. The only thing I actually wonder about is how long it will last me although so far I have used it quite a bit and the result has been the same every single time!

Do you Lilac it?

I had been searching for the perfect pastel purple for ages now and I have finally found it! OPI's 'Do you Lilac it' is my new favourite nail varnish to the collection. You only need one coat of it which is how much i'm wearing in the picture. With pastel colours being in I think this is the perfect colour and it certainly adds a pop to your outfit!

OPI are still my favourite nail varnishes and I don't think I could ever go back. They apply perfectly and you only need one or two coats maximum. For this nail colour it didn't come out how I expected it to. I was expecting the colour on the bottle although when I applied one coat it came out more of a pastel fusciha purple which I actually prefer!

What do you think of this colour?
